BMW Motorrad wanted to caution their customers that if they didn't get their bikes serviced at an authorised BMW Service Centre, their BMWs would not perform like they should.
To change the perception that local workshops can do the same job, we needed to demonstrate the difference between a genuine BMW service and the cheaper variety. So we placed a web banner in a popular motorbike blog site inviting BMW bike owners to find out for themselves what would happen if they took their bikes to the local workshops.
The impact of our little demonstration exceeded expectations, with a decided increase in patronage at both BMW Service Centres. Not forgetting the talk value that far outweighed the initial outlay.
